An Elegant, Japanese, Stylized Lotus Themed Bronze Vase, Meiji Period
An elegant, strongly rendered Japanese Meiji period bronze vase. Six sectioned, stylized lotus blossom form. The base reminiscent of lotus themed Japanese decorative arts, extending in an elongated neck, terminating in a bulbous rim reminiscent also of garlic-head vases (first seen in Chinese decorative arts). Good condition, the neck just slightly off straight, original surface patination somewhat rubbed but presentable. Height, about 12 inches.
